Below is a flowchart outlining the options for students.
At John Pirie Secondary School we are fully aware that BYOD can cause a certain amount of anxiety for families but at the same time it is exciting. The Leadership, Digital Pedagogies and IT Team are committed to helping everyone, answer questions and alleviate fears. To assist in purchasing devices, the school has partnered with JBHI, to establish a portal in which families can purchase recommended devices at education pricing. For more information regarding accessing JBHIFI Portal BYOD ONLINE, please contact the school for the School Code. Families may also seek a No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) available through Uniting Country SA.

Please note: Chromebooks are generally not sufficient devices for education as they have minimal storage space and due to being required to run all software online, they do not have the same functionality and resources available when using in specialist subjects.
